Optional Conversation 32

You start off this chapter walking with Ellie. After a while, you can have optional conversation 32 with her.

Artifact 79—Family Photograph

Continue down the road and on your left you will see an RV. Inside are supplies, supplements, parts, and artifact 79—Family Photograph. Before you leave, view the corpses in the back of the RV. This is necessary or else you can’t get the upcoming optional conversation with Ellie.

Optional Conversation 33

Exit the RV and catch up with Ellie who is standing by a bus with an ad for an airline. She’ll talk about flying in optional conversation 33.

Firefly Pendant 27—Katerina Perich

Continue down the highway exit and when you reach the bottom of a ramp, turn left and go around an SUV where you find firefly pendant 27—Katerina Perich.

Now head to the right and climb onto a bus.

Artifact 80—Note to Wife

Head into the building on the left. Follow along the left wall until you reach artifact 80—Note to Wife—in a briefcase.

There are some supplies scattered around the room.

Optional Conversation 34

Go talk to Ellie for optional conversation 34.

When you’re ready, attempt to boost Ellie to the nearby ladder. She’s really out of it today but this doesn’t count towards the optional conversation since it’s mandatory. Eventually, Joel will get her up there…and then she takes off? Grab the ladder and place it against the wall to continue and then follow Ellie.

Optional Conversation 35

Follow her until you find a giraffe and interact with it to get the famous optional conversation 35 scene.

Optional Conversation 36

After the scene is over, follow her upstairs and interact with her again as she watches the giraffes walk out in the distance. This is optional conversation 36.

Comic 12—Precipitate

Take the door inside and follow Ellie downstairs until you make it to a large room. On the right is the men’s bathroom that you’ll need to push open. Inside, you’ll find comic 12—Precipitate—laying on the ground.

Backtrack out of the bathroom. There are parts to the left of where you came in and supplies on the opposite side of the room. Afterwards, follow Ellie through a maze of chain-link fences. Once outside, you’ll find supplies in the first tent on your left.

Tool Upgrade Level 5

The second tent has the tool upgrade level 5 which is the final one.

There are supplements near one of the beds.

Firefly Pendant 28—Nicole Hoo

Head outside and go around to the left until you find a street light. Hanging from the street lamp is firefly pendant 28—Nicole Hoo.

Artifact 81—Salt Lake Q.Z. Map

To the right of the bus is a tent with supplies, ammo, parts, and artifact 81—Salt Lake Q.Z. Map.

Workbench 10

Behind you is workbench 10.

Artifact 82—Photo of Sarah, Optional Conversation 37

Head towards the bus that I keep mentioning but don’t go in. Turn around and wait for Ellie. She’ll hand you artifact 82—photo of Sarah and have optional conversation 37 with you.
