The Last of Us Part I – Tommy’s Dam – Hydroelectric Dam

Hydroelectric Dam

You start of this chapter on a dirt road which you can to follow until you make it to an SUV at the end. There will be supplies around the base of the SUV then turn left and scale down the cliff.

Comic 7—Foreign Element

Just before you pass under the bridge, head to the right to get comic 7—Foreign Element.

Shiv Door 9

Now follow the path until you reach the hydroelectric power plant. At the top of the stairs is shiv door 9 which contains supplies and supplements.

You can go ahead and spin a nearby knob to move the first half of the platform in place but you’ll need to move the other side too before making it across. To do so, swim under the water to find a hidden pallet and use it to help Ellie get across. She’ll automatically move the other side into place.

Trophy—Left Hanging

It’s tempting to high five Ellie but if you leave her hanging, you’ll get the Left Hanging trophy.

Optional Conversation 25

Once on the other side, there’s a break in the railing going off to the left that you can follow. Other there, you’ll find supplies and tucked away in the back is a small grave. Ellie will try to have optional Conversation 25 with you but Joel ain’t having it.

Find some rocks you can climb up, make your way left once you hit a wall, and crouch under a fallen tree. On the backside of the bulldozer are supplements.

New Weapon—El Diablo

In the shed by the entrance to the hydroelectric power plant you’ll find a new weapon—El Diablo. (I would say, “The El Diablo” but el means the. 🤷‍♂️)

Artifact 56—Power Plant Map

On the wall of the shed, you’ll find artifact 56—Power Plant Map.

Optional Conversation 26

Once inside the gate, follow everyone to the horses and eventually you’ll be able to have optional conversation 26.

Now that you’re inside the power plant, follow Tommy to get a conversation prompt. Since this one is mandatory, it doesn’t count towards optional conversations. Sorry. After the cutscene, follow Tommy upstairs. At the top of the stairs, instead of going through the door on your right, go left into a small room to find supplements and parts.

Optional Conversation 27

Catch back up with Tommy but veer off to the right when you get outside and look for a lady. You can have optional conversation 27 with her.

Trophy—Who’s A Good Boy?

Now catch back up with Tommy again but before going into, look to the right on the ground for a dog named Buckley. Pet him to get the Who’s A Good Boy? trophy.

Follow Tommy inside and you’ll find supplements on the table with the guys.

Training Manual 8—Smoke: Chemistry

On the control panel in the same room is training manual 8—Smoke: Chemistry.

Workbench 7

To the left is workbench 7.

Follow Tommy again into the next room but don’t go all the way to the back just yet. Feel free to stop and watch the men fixing the power plant.

Firefly Pendant 18—Ryan Oliverio

At the bottom of the stairs on the same side as where you entered is a room with ammo, supplies, parts, and firefly pendant 18—Ryan Oliverio.

Finally, follow Tommy in the room he’s been trying to get to the whole time. After the cutscene, you’ll be in a firefight with some bandits. Take them out as you make your way back to where you came from.

Artifact 57—Plant Schematics

When you get to the control room, you can grab artifact 57—Plant Schematics—off the table that the men were blocking earlier.

Fight your way across the bridge until you reach Ellie and Maria have backed themselves into a small room.
